Next PFLAG Phoenix Board of Directors Meeting:

Most of the PFLAG Phoenix Board of Directors meetings will be held on a Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the Plaza Executive Suites, located at 2942 N. 24th Street in Phoenix.  However, please check our calendar to verify the next meeting date, and be sure to check our meeting agenda for the meeting location and time. 

Anyone interested in getting more involved with PFLAG Phoenix is encouraged to attend and check us out!

Directions:

For Board of Directors meetings held at the Plaza Executive Suites, they are located at 2942 N. 24th Street in Phoenix.  The building is just north of Thomas Road on the west side of 24th Street. When you get to the building, go through the gate off of 24th St. and park in the lot near the front of the building. Walk down the central walkway between the two wings of the building toward the back and you will see the entrance to Suite 114 (where we'll meet) on your left.  I have asked the owner of the building to have it open for us at 9:45 a.m. so we can start our meeting at 10:00.

Our fabulous PFLAG Phoenix Board of Directors members are dedicated individuals and couples who are committed to ensuring that PFLAG Phoenix fulfills it's mission of support, education and advocacy.  Some of these volunteers serve in elected positions as chapter officers, while others are appointed to other chapter leadership roles.  Some simply volunteer their time and talents on an "as-needed" basis.  One thing is certain:  This group of dedicated volunteers is committed, works well as a team, and is excited to invite others who are interested in making a difference to join this group.  Think you might be interested?  Let us know!

Ever thought about getting more involved with a local GLBT-supportive community organization, but didn't know how or where to get involved?  If so, then PFLAG Phoenix wants YOU!  Join us at our next PFLAG Board of Directors meeting!

These bi-monthly meetings are fun, fast and informative and are attended by a small group of PFLAG volunteers and anyone else interested in either learning more about PFLAG or possibly getting involved in the many volunteer activities we perform.  Come be a part of the decision-making process and help us decide what events to participate in, what speakers to invite to speak at PFLAG meetings, how to best spend our donated funds to wisely stretch every dollar for worthwhile programs, and enjoy all the laughter that always makes these meetings so much fun to attend.

Many people don't realize that gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered individuals are working hard behind the scenes (and out front, in public) to help the dedicated parents, family members and other straight supporters that make PFLAG such a wonderful experience to participate in and such a great organization overall.  Our Board of Directors meetings are a great way to meet new, interesting and like-minded people!  Of course, we also are always seeking and hoping to involve more parents, family members and straight supporters as well, so if you know some, bring 'em along!  If participating in PFLAG weren't so personally rewarding, our parents who've been coming for the past 5, 10, 15 and even 25 years (yes, 25 years!) wouldn't still be there...but they are!  Come, join us!  See for yourself what you've been missing!
